As the oldest village there, Brixen has given the valley its name.

In contrast to many other Alpine valleys, the Brixen valley does not have a valley end, but is open on both sides. It connects the Inn Valley in the west with the Kitzbühel area in the east. Nestled in gentle grassy mountains with extensive alpine pastures, the charming village of Brixen im Thale is located in the middle of the Brixental.

Two gondola lifts (Skiwelt Bahn & Gondelbahn Hochbrixen) are located right next to the Bergwelt Apartments and take winter sports enthusiasts to the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental – which is connected to the Kitzbühel ski area.

In summer, Brixen im Thale is an ideal starting point for wonderful hikes and mountain bike tours in the side valleys of the Brixental.

The Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental is Austria’s largest single connected ski area and is one of the snowiest and most versatile winter sports regions in the Alps.

The Bergwelt Apartments Brixen im Thale, which are located directly next to the Skiwelt Bahn Brixen im Thale & Gondelbahn Hochbrixen, are the ideal base from which to get to know the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental.

The continual awards are proof that the 279 km of slopes, 91 modern lifts and cable cars and over 70 places you can get a bite to eat guarantee complete winter fun. With 13 km of night skiing & 11 km of illuminated toboggan runs, there is no end to the enjoyment as you can twist under the moonlight down perfect downhill slops and toboggan runs towards the sea of lights in the valley.

More than 70 of the most beautiful huts and mountain restaurants in Austria, sun terraces and snow bars will make you want to stop for a bite or a drink. Cosiness, hospitality and Tyrolean charm set the tone here – on average there is a chance to stop for a little something every 3.5 km!
